--only to be disappointed by bad food or bad service, or both?
What about that gem of a restaurant --in an out of the way place that only

An old adage that is likely true:
"When you love something --you will tell two people. When you hate
something, you'll tell twenty"!
When we've registered complaints about service or food (nicely) to a restaurant
manager, they usually seem to take to heart what is being complained about.
But there is small percentage of managers who just make excuses, blow us
off, don't care and walk away.
However, the vast majority of restaurant managers want to make the situation
right, usually on the spot. Some managers care enough about customer satisfaction
that they go into high gear and actually starting waiting on us, and they'll
run the improperly cooked and/or cold food back into the kitchen themselves.
Some managers have given us a gift certificate to come back again after a
particularly bad experience. (We never ask for compensation, and we never
disclose that we own RAR. We just wait to see how the situation unfolds naturally
as if we were any diner.)
Not every dining experience has been bad with us. There are many restaurants
we absolutely love! There are several places where we have 'food addictions'
and go back again and again to get our "fix". Additionally, we always make
sure to talk to the management about the things we love, too!
To Restaurateurs/Management:
We're about "Quality Control" and we hope you are, too.
The vast majority of customers will not bother to complain, they just won't
come back. Furthermore, they'll tell all of their friends of their bad
dining experience.
Rate-A-Restaurant.com is a place where you the dining customer get tell
restaurant management what is and isn't acceptable. Restaurant management
would be wise to read the reviews and use them to improve their establishments.
Or they can simply carry on in their quest for profits and remained clueless
as to why they loose customers.
Whether we are discussing food quality or food service, --the good, the
bad and the ugly, we want to hear from you!
